SSD structures by material properties
The first graph shows the total number of structure analyses included in SSD,
broken down by the bulk lattice of the substrate (through 2002).
This includes clean and adsorbate-covered surfaces.
The second graph is similar, but classifies the substrates three ways:
by composition, by electrical properties, and by clean-surface structure type.
The third graph breaks down the structure analyses by
the adsorbate type, also classified three ways:
atomic vs. molecular vs. compound film;
substitutional vs. interstitial (both within the substrate)
vs. overlayer (outside the substrate);
pseudomorphic vs. epitaxial (commensurate vs. incommensurate) film.
